Since 1965 until today Luis León has worked in many restaurants and hotels, always trying to learn and improve his skills.
1979 he moved to Switzerland, where he started to work as sous chef in the “Grotto Brigini” Restaurant in Ascona. This experience led him to work as head chef in the Restaurant „La Posta“, also in Switzerland, the following year. There he stayed the next three years, leaving at season’s end, going to the Restaurant „Guatiero Machese“ in Milan, Italy. Afterwards he went back to Switzerland, with a backpack full of new experiences.
Now Luis Leon is one of the best and most well known chefs working on Lanzarote Island.
Arena Restaurant has a broad variety of local foods, always prepared with the freshest products of the day. Luis León is putting a lot of effort into giving his clients a very special and unforgettable experience at this restaurant.
To begin with, the very diversified breakfast buffet, presenting the freshest products of the day. Our variety of snacks for lunch will be a welcome relief from sunbathing and enjoying the hotel’s community pool.
